Where am I?

Rainbow Pop! is Dia Aren Marie’s sketchblog where she posts - no prize for guessing - sketches, works-in-progress (WIPs), silly doodles and other such things that either do not count as a finished artwork or are just plain too silly to post elsewhere without spamming the heck out of people. First known to the internoodle as Love and Sparkles on Livejournal, it was put up as a place to make sketchdumps, but its primary purpose is to encourage her to draw more often.

Who?

Dia is currently a college sophomore taking up Bachelor of Fine Arts - Visual Communication in UP Diliman.

She likes anything artsy, and adores anime and manga, books, cartoons, comics, photography, movies, video games, the internet, webdesign, bunnies, strawberries, rainbows, the oddity of linguistics and learning new things, among a plethora of others.

She enjoys drawing, reading, writing, getting to know people, dreaming, cooking, baking, coming up with new ideas, collaborating with friends, and finding awesome deals.

She occasionally acts and dances, but 99.9% of the public eye shall never see these rare moments.

She does not enjoy ripping her hair out due to coding frustrations and other unpleasant things in general.

Why Rainbow Pop?

For one, Dia adores rainbows and colorful things. As the for the ‘pop’ part, it came about while she was brainstorming names with her friend, Coffeined. After hours of rejected names, they came up with the idea of basing it after a drink. From espresso to slush to smooth to cocktail (to beer of all things), they went through all the possible drinks available, until they got to ’soda’, which they changed into ‘pop’, and there you go. Rainbow soda, rainbow pop!

The thing is, Dia isn’t fond of sodas. They burn her throat. Still, the name stuck, and it is before you today.
